About

The Arizona Review (AZR) is an independently run music web-zine focusing on bringing the audience the most recent and exciting music related content as possible regardless of the genre of music.

Our well written articles and non-bias reviews are accompanied by outstanding and unique photography that won’t be found anywhere else (unless they are ripping it off from us)! Our articles are sure to please your eye as well as satisfy your curiosity; making our concert reviews come to life in a way no other website can.

We not only feature content of major acts, but also feature an “unsigned hype” section to highlight outstanding talent that has not yet been heard.

A few questions we are asked every-so-often, in no particular order:

What’s the story behind the name “The Arizona Review”? The Arizona Review is the brain-child of concert photographer Alonso Murillo, who’s main focus has been visually covering just about every musical event in the Phoenix area of Arizona and connecting fans from around the world with the unique musical landscape of Arizona.

Do you only cover acts in Arizona? While a good amount of our content is related to artists who perform (or have performed) in the state of Arizona, we are expanding our reach to cover events and local artists all over the United States and maybe someday, around the globe. The sky is the limit!

Can I submit an article and/or photographs of a local concert? At present we are accepting reviews of local concerts. Larger music events will generally be covered by our staff, however on occasion we will publish guest author articles of larger performances that do not travel through Arizona. For more information please contact us**.

I’m in Arizona, can you review my band/performance/concert? Please contact us if you would like to request coverage.

**Please note that we cannot personally respond to all emails, however we do appreciate your submissions and comments. Alll email will be read by a real person!
