DEADMAU5
RETURNS WITH
SECOND ALBUM FOR ULTRA RECORDS
‘FOR LACK OF A BETTER NAME’
TO BE RELEASED SEPTEMBER 22

MASSIVE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR CONFIRMED FOR THE FALL
WITH TICKETS TO GO ON SALE THIS WEEK
deadmau5His name may conjure up images of a lifeless rodent, but the Canadian born self- confessed techno geek otherwise known as DEADMAU5 (pronounced Dead Mouse) punches like a heavyweight. On September 22, the Grammy-nominated, Juno Award-winning electronic music sensation who has racked up more than 5,000,000 hits on MySpace will unleash his second album for ULTRA Records–titled FOR LACK OF A BETTER NAME–and then set off on a massive fall tour throughout North America.Over the last two years, DEADMAU5 has gone from near obscurity to becoming a superstar as an innovative live performer. This past spring he sold out two nights at New York City’s Webster Hall and one night at Hollywood, CA’s legendary 4,000- capacity Palladium. This summer he’ll perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago, Electric Zoo in New York, Glastonbury in the U.K. and a host of other European festivals. In the fall, he’ll launch his mammoth world-wide ‘For Lack Of A Better Name’ tour encompassing over 30 dates in North America alone, including the headlining slot on the highly anticipated annual HARD Halloween event taking place at The Forum in Los Angeles.

The trek will kick off September 23 at Ritual in Ottowa, the day after For Lack Of A Better Name drops in both Canada and the U.S. The non-stop routing will take DEADMAU5 through markets up and down both seaboards and throughout the interior of both countries with stops in his hometown of Toronto, San Francisco, Denver, Little Rock and everywhere in between, all while wearing his signature custom-made mau5head. The complete listing of tour markets follows below.

On For Lack Of A Better Name, the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2008 debut Random Album Title, DEADMAU5 takes a different turn by incorporating various styles of music into multi-blocks of songs. The album will include “Ghosts ‘N’ Stuff,” featuring Pendulum’s Rob Swire, and the title track, both of which he’ll perform on tour. Further details about the album will be unveiled at a later date.

Meanwhile, the video for DEADMAU5 and Kaskade’s club smash “I Remember” continues to make waves. Already garnering over 500K views on YouTube, the video has been favored by the likes of AOL as the Video of the Day and featured by both MySpace US and UK. Shot in Manchester, U.K., the video stars favorite actor Stephen Graham (This is England, Snatch). View the full length ten minute video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRj91VZG4Dw.
