Afro:Baile Records on September 19th will release the 3rd CD in their compilation series. The latest CD, titled “I love Bossa Nova“, is an eclectic mix of contemporary Brazilian music, paying tribute to the sound that changed the world: Bossa Nova. This newest CD release encompasses the many styles of Bossa Nova introducing a new vision and sound from 11 female vocalists, fusing the age old sound with styles of Jazz, Soul, Drumbeats and Acoustic melodies for a timeless groove. The 12 song CD is the latest installment of CD releases by Afro:Baile Records.

This vibrant compilation captures all the essence of musical style including tastes from Rio, Salvador Bahia, Sao Paulo & Brasilia, Brazil and across the globe to Spain and Switzerland. The “chill vibe” delivered by this mix incorporates all the traditional elements while introducing the future sounds of Bossa Nova fusion that’s perfect for a Sunday morning over coffee, or dinner with wine. The “I Love Bossa Nova” CD release event will unfold at 8PM on October 3, 2009, at Bomberos Café & Wine Bar – voted Best South American Wine Bar in Phoenix, located 8801 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona and will feature live music by Banda Som Brasil from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Songs like “Cantos e Contos”, takes on the nu-sound of Bossa Nova with a slow drum beat and soulful harmony, to “Beat da Bossa“, a Portuguese-English song with an up-tempo groove that keeps you moving to the beat! “Constatacao” is a traditional approach to delivering the classic essence of the Bossa Nova sound. The 12-featured tracks represent the new direction for Bossa Nova Music, a culturally diverse style of music that has become a worldwide phenomenon for over 51 years. .

Along with the CD release, Afro:Baile Records will also introduce a new limited edition T-Shirt sharing the same moniker of “I Love Bossa Nova“. The sleek new design will coordinate with the imagery of the CD to give you a “hear it-wear it” type effect. Afro:Baile will also launch a new website at www.Ilovebossanova.com to celebrate the release of the CD and T-shirt. The new site will incorporate a campaign to celebrate the releases while celebrating this groundbreaking genre of Brazilian music.
