Can you review an upcoming concert?

We have a group of writers who enjoy music (both indie and mainstream) and love to write about it. If you are a member of a band or a representative who wishes to have an upcoming show reviewed, please use our contact form and give us all the event details including information about the band and a website where music samples can be heard.

How can I submit my CD for an un-biased review?

Artists (both unsigned and those signed to a label) and/or their representatives are invited to submit their music for review on The Arizona Review. Please be sure to read the following guidelines before submitting your CD for review:

Please do not refer us to your band’s MySpace page or website to hear your music. We prefer to receive a professionally packaged CD and press kit via U.S. mail (Electronic Press Kit’s are ok). Submissions can be in the form of CD, CD-R/RW, DVD or MINI Disc. Band/Artist bios and images should also be included.

Mail submissions to:

The Arizona Review
P.O. Box 17602
Phoenix, Arizona 85011

In order to give you a favorable review, we want to make sure it goes to the right person. We need to know what your music sounds like in order to set you up with an appropriate reviewer(s). Supplying accurate information will allow us to get your music to the person (or people) most likely to enjoy it.

Please understand that we cannot review everything we receive.

Here are a few important points to note when submitting your music:

  • Please include supporting materials such as bios, press releases and contact details.
  • We don’t review music on MySpace pages or band websites
  • Sending your material does not guarantee that it will be reviewed.
  • CDs will not be returned and will become property of The Arizona Review upon submission.
  • While we will attempt to find the perfect reviewer(s) for your music, we cannot guarantee the outcome of your review to be all-positive and will not remove reviews after they have been published.

Any questions you have can be sent to reviews@thearizonareview.com.
