(Phoenix, AZ) – 2009’s breakout new artist the Zac Brown Band, widely respected for their live shows and musicianship, bring their act to Dodge Theatre Wednesday, March 3 for a 7:00 p.m. performance. Behind only Lady Gaga, the Zac Brown Band are the biggest selling new artists of the year with their Band’s platinum-certified debut album ‘The Foundation’ (Atlantic Records). Sonia Leigh, Levi Lowrey and Nic Cowan who have been signed by Zac Brown’s label, Southern Ground Records, will open the show.
The Zac Brown Band earned three GRAMMY nominations in December for “Best New Artist,” “Best Country Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocals” for “Chicken Fried,” and “Best Country Album” for ‘The Foundation.’
The Band captured two fan-voted honors taking home the “Top New Vocal Group” Award at the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards and the “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year” at the 2009 CMT Awards for their first single “Chicken Fried.” They also received four Country Music Association and three American Music Award nominations in 2009.
